There are many documents in print and on the Internet claiming to be the last word in information security. However, this micro site details of some of the HMG produced documents that are applicable to both HMG and varied commercial organisations. These documents need to be considered when developing IT for use with HMG information.

HMG IA Standards are owned jointly by Cabinet Office and CESG. They provide binding policy on Information Assurance in support of the Mandatory Requirements in the HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF).
